What the Number 4 Signifies: N° 4 is said to be the perfect number creating harmony within nature – the earth’s four elements, the four phases of the moon, and the four seasons. This dignified Merlot is a perfect blend of the earth’s elements and represents both humankind and nature yielding the most honorable grapes.

Bottled unfiltered, the wine opens with captivating dark fruit aromas of raspberry and plum, cloves, and a touch of currant, and on the palate, these intricate flavors are all further accented by underlying flavors of baking spices and rich earthiness. This is a structured wine with soft tannins and a balanced and lingering finish.

JCB N° 4 is sourced from vineyards located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley where morning fog allows the Merlot grapes to fully ripen without extreme heat. A climate similar to Burgundy’s.
