The Wappo name honors the bravery, strength and wisdom of the founding people of Napa. The hill rises 666 feet, providing the Wappo a strategic perspective onto their cherished valley, with views from the San Pablo Bay to Mt. St. Helena. It was there they surveyed the map of Napa Valley that bore the Wappo name.
